Within the Motoring Section there are over 30 marques registered with around 1000 motoring exhibits. On our stand we have a Club Show and Shine Competition which is always of great interest. For the 2007 show, the MR2 Drivers’ Club would like to invite members of the Italian MR2 Club to display their cars at the show and have an international gathering not only with our members; but also with members of the French, Belgian, German, Swiss and Dutch Clubs. The purpose of the show is to bring town and country together with Club Car displays, trade stands, motor cycle stunt teams, monster trucks, horse shows, dog shows, art & craft, and country market etc… 100,000 of visitors come to the show every year to admire the classic and sports cars. For more info on the show please visit www.townandcountryfestival.org.uk. The show is over 3 days, usually at the end of August. Nothing is finalised yet for 2007 but it is likely to be the 25, 26 and 27 August 2007. There is camping facilities on site at a very competitive price and with all commodities such as toilets and showers. Plenty of affordable hotels are also close by. Our Club normally takes over a hotel near to the event – details of this can be sent to you at a later date should you wish to join us. You can purchase food in the festival for your meals and it is likely that we will have barbecues on the Saturday and Sunday evenings. At this stage what we are interested to know is if this could be of interest to your members? Perhaps you could run a pole on your forum to check interest and let us know. We know that we are talking about 2007, but as we have to reserve space on the show ground for 2007 in August this year, we need an idea on numbers of cars. The MR2 Drivers’ Club Ltd has been established since 1990 and is the oldest MR2 club in England. The purpose of the club is to bring together people who share the same enthusiasm for the Toyota MR2 whether it is the Mk1, Mk2 or Mk3.
