Hi all,

Long time without posting here. Some of you perhaps still remember me (hope...). Sure Enetec at least...

I'm Alberto Pastor, spynish on forums. Long time ago we talked a few lines about doing an International meeting to meet Spanish and Italian clubs.

So thouhgt and made Next 2008 summer, we are organizing and International meeting of MR2 clubs across Europe. This will include MR2 from all 3 generations.

Of course I'm willing to have your support and expect that some of you (many if possible) come to this great meeting.

Belgium, French, German, English and Spanish clubs (of course) are being notified.

Please have a look on mr2roc original post:

http://www.mr2roc.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=16393&highlight=

If you see the poll (please vote if you're coming) you will see the "mr2ball" concept is winning, so most probably we'll cross Europe from France to somewhere (most probably Alps) with a bunch of 2's.

Please let me know if you're coming and if we can count on you (I'm sure thouhg)

Regards,

Alberto

Hi everybody!
at last a real occasion to enjoy the touring spirit of this amazing project created almost 20 years ago (I'm speaking about the MKII..).
Last summer I had the opportunity to travel accross Europe with my wife from Milan to Amsterdam enjoying a silk journey on alps roads and autobahn...

I liked that holidays so much, and now.. I want more!!

Hope that this event will see an incredible amount of MR2 coming from all edges of our community!!
Hola! Manu

Per gli interessati allego bozza del programma:

2008 will be a 3 part European event.

1- Suggested legs from where you live to the meeting. We will post itineraries, you will decide how long it should take you to make it and book your hotels in accordance. It can take you as long as you want as long as you are on time in Austria!

2- A dream trip across the Alps, 4 countries, 1500km of twisties and astonishing sceneries. A once in a lifetime drive.

3- A "slow down" week-end and the opportunity for less fortunate owners who couldn't attend "Part 2" to join the group. this will be 1 day of pure driving and 1 day of... pure fun.

In details, it goes like this...

MEETING SESSIONS from:
* the UK, France, Belgium, Germany
* Spain
* Italy

Every driver decides what to do and the pace...

We will suggest hotels and activities, of course!

THE TRIP

For this part, we do all the work, carefully chose the hotels and restaurants, pick the itineraries... everything...

August 9th - Austria

The general meeting will be in a hotel in the Salzburg's area.

August 10th - Austria

The 300km drive start in Radstadt and finishes in Brenner.

August 11th - Italy

The 200km drive start in Vitipeno and finishes in Ponté Di Legno.

August 12th - Switzerland

The 200km drive starts in Umbrail and finishes in Andermatt

August 13th - Switzerland

The 200km drive starts in Andermatt and finishes in Airolo

August 14th - France

The 100km drive starts in Sospel and finishes in Coursegoules

August 15th - France

The week-end will begin in Grasse. At this point MR2 drivers who couldn't join us for the Alpine week are welcome (check here for conditions).

The day will be spent on the world famous "Route Napoleon" from Grasse to Grenoble.

August 16th - France

Around Grenoble, the driving is not quite finished but the day will be spent together, activities TBA.

Hi Alberto, I am very happy about your initiative.
Do you have already prepared the itinerary ? If you have planned to pass from North Italy and Austria ,surely we will participate to the event.
Hold me informed.
